You're Invited...
To join the American Cancer Society to save lives and create a world with more birthdays.
On Saturday, August 4, 2012 at 7:00 PM, the American Cancer Society invites you to enjoy a memorable evening featuring local eateries, caterers and wine, beer and spirits vendors. Guests are invited to try out specialty dishes, gourmet cuisine, imported and domestic wines, micro brewers and a variety of spirits. Local restaurant owners and beverage specialists will be available to answer any questions you may have. Guests will also have the opportunity to bid on silent auction items and purchase the much sought-after “grape bags.”
And as we come together to party for a cause, the American Cancer Society will continue to save lives and create more birthdays by helping people to stay well and get well, find cures, and fight back against a disease that has taken too many lives.
For nearly a century, the American Cancer Society has fought for every birthday threatened by every cancer in every community. By taking what we’ve learned through research and turning it into what we do, we have contributed to a 15 percent decrease in the overall cancer death rate between the early 1990s and 2005. That means that we helped avoid about 650,000 cancer deaths and created the potential for more birthday celebrations. Overall, 11 million cancer survivors in America will celebrate a birthday this year. Now that’s a reason to party, so join us!
Let's join together to save lives... even if it takes all night!
We hope to see you there!
