is a nationwide collaboration between the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches established to provide critical mission outreach and financial resources in support of the Society’s lifesaving cancer research, education, advocacy, and community service efforts. The initiative leverages the personal experiences, community leadership, and professional excellence of basketball coaches nationwide to increase cancer awareness and promote healthy lifestyle choices through year-round awareness efforts, fundraising activities, and advocacy programs.
Our Efforts ...
The St. Louis Coaches vs. Cancer initiative has raised much needed funds for the fight against cancer. Funds are raised throughout the year in a multitude of sports including basketball, football, volleyball, and others. Funds are raised with the efforts of dedicated high school, college, and community groups, through the efforts of the Paint it Pink games, the Shootout, Strike Out Cancer, and many other fundraising and awareness events. With your help, the coaches hope to reach their ambitious goal of increasing yearly donations by 50%.
